Student leadership at Huntcliff School
Huntcliff School provides its students with several opportunities to get involved in student leadership throughout the school. Students can be in any year group and many roles involve helping and supporting their peers.
The student body is represented by the school council, lead by our head boy and head girl who are elected each year by students at Huntcliff. Our head boy and head girl for 2017/18 are and Dominic Challinor and Abigail Wilson.
The peer mentors at Huntcliff School are specially trained by North Lincolnshire Council. Their role is to support their fellow students by being a friendly ear to listen and advise.
They help students who may be feeling a little low, stressed with exams, struggling with a bereavement or issues at home, or who may just need a friendly face to talk to.
There are peer mentors for every house, but students can speak to any of the mentors from each of the four school houses.
Numeracy leaders are available every lunchtime in the Maths block. Their role is to help their fellow students with their Maths homework, explaining how to solve problems and making the work clearer. They are a great source of support in helping students to get to grips with their Maths work.
